Foot Tattoos - Are They For Women Only?

Foot tattoos are unique within themselves. It is not too often that you see someone with a tattooed foot, and on top of that, it really seems as if the only people that display them are women. But the question still remains - are they for women only? Do you think that it makes you less of a man to have a tattoo on your foot? Of course not! The foot is actually one of the sexiest places to get a tattoo! Men can sometimes pull it off better than a woman.

It is silly to believe that foot tattoos are only for women. Men have been known to display tribal designs, war symbols, names, and other types of designs on their feet. If women can walk around with chains and dragons tattooed around their biceps, then men can surely walk around with tattoos on their feet. The same goes for men that wear pink shirts. They pull that off quite nicely, right? You are darn right they do! Some of the niftier design ideas for men that are thinking about getting a tattooed foot are skulls, tigers, exotic symbols, old English lettering, names of family members, and portraits of their favorite cars.

If you are really wanting to go for a masculine look, then it can be done, even with the classic butterfly. Just add flames or skulls around it. Men actually have the advantage when it comes to beefing a tattoo up to suit them. Simply adding a couple of more masculine colors is enough to help any guy pull off a tattoo on their foot.

But, if you are just the type of person (male or female) who just would not look good with a tattoo on their foot, then do not get one. Sometimes, foot tattoos just do not suit certain people. It could be personality, the appearance of their feet, or certain level of femininity or masculinity that causes it to be that way. The same goes for certain colors. Some people cannot wear red. Although there is no particular reason why, red just does not look right on them. This is just something to think about. Ask yourself these questions - does the design and placement that I am thinking about suit my actual personality? Will it look right on me as an individual? Try not to think about the decision too hard because you could end up being over critical of yourself and potentially end up missing out on an awesome tattoo.

The most common places that men get tattoos are usually on the arms and back. You see women with tattoos mainly on their shoulders and ankles. As long as you think that you can pull it off, then you can get a tattoo anywhere that you please. There is no need to be sexist or worry about what someone else is going to think. No one is going to laugh at you if you are guy when you have a spider tattooed on your foot. Something like that would actually look kind of cool! You never know, guys having foot tattoos might begin a new trend!
